As the name suggests, the BSMSA Medical Terminology for Beginners course is for absolute beginners to medical terminology and is suitable for anyone wanting to enter medical administration / secretarial work in the public or private sector. The course contains one module covering the basics of how a medical term is formed (prefixes, suffixes and root words) and leads gently on to more complex terms.
Learning incorporates a number of self-assessment opportunities and a final assessment. You will gain a certificate at the end of this course.
The minimum requirements are a good standard of English and the ability to commit to 2 hours of self-study per week. The course takes 8-10 hours to complete. Your registration on this course is for 3-months.
